The Search for the Highndry
After mustering out of the Marines, Gabriel Treviso thought civilian life would be simple. But when he and his crew take a contract from the ISS, they find themselves facing danger on a job that may cost them more than they ever expected.

About This Story
This two-part story chronicles the adventures of Gabriel Treviso, a retired Marine who, along with a group of friends, sets out to make a living and build a life beyond the military. What begins as a simple job to retrieve a scout ship in need of maintenance quickly becomes a far more dangerous endeavor than expected.
Method
During each actual play session, I kept a loose journal of events from my character’s perspective. I made an effort to record only what my character would know and care about.
During the sessions—much to the amusement (or annoyance) of my fellow players—I gave my character a rather strong hillbilly accent. I’ve attempted to preserve that accent in the writing.
Mechanics
This campaign was run with a traditional, dedicated Game Master (GM), who guided an unruly group of players through High and Dry, an official Traveller module by Martin J. Dougherty, published by Mongoose Publishing.
Campaign Summary
A two-session foray into the world of Traveller. A team of four men look to build new lives in a vast galaxy.
Session 1

Gabe’s journal chronicles a cold, rugged mission to the remote world of Walston, where he and his friends scale a mountain to recover a stranded ship, the HighnDry. Along the way, they face skeletal remains, rival salvagers, and a lone Tensor Wolf left behind by a vanished crew.
Session 2

The team of would-be adventurers finds their ship and more trouble than they bargained for. When catastrophe strikes, they must risk everything to save lives and survive in the dangerous conclusion to this adventure.
